Brand identity and naming for Westen Architektur, an architecture studio based in Hamburg, Germany and dedicated to redefining residential architecture as we know it.
The symbol is a modern and geometric monogram constructed with with sharp angles and lines suggesting the architectural angles and Westen's precision. The colour palette was chosen as suggestion to construction materials while the Payne's Gray was chosen to communicate professionalism.
The accompanying typeface is Helvetica, a 1957 neo-grotesque sans-serif typeface developed by Swiss type designer Max Miedinger and Eduard Hoffmann.
The result is a modern brand language designed to showcase Westen Architektur's dedication to creating residential architecture able to transcend the norms and become extensions of human behaviour and personality.
